$29.47 to $32.03 per hour

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Project Manager, ITS, is responsible for the daily operations of the Information Technology Services (ITS) warehouse and maintenance of inventory levels; processing and distributing of IT equipment, ordering, receiving and stocking parts when needed; conducting monthly inventory counts; providing administrative support, including preparation of shipments, bills of lading, tracking of orders and maintaining rotating stock (IP phones, switches, computers, servers etc.).

Major Responsibilities

•Maintains daily operations of the ITS warehouse and maintenance of inventory levels.
•Fills internal inventory requisitions received and arranges for delivery or pick up of stock for various Branch operations, as required; maintains records of transactions.
•Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; selects appropriate shipping container; and packs items to ensure safe delivery.
•Inputs data into inventory system database.
•Conducts monthly inventory counts and prepares report for the Project Manager; updates parts pricing on an as required basis.
•Maintains current Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any current/new inventory, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
•Liaises with Branch staff and suppliers for the ordering of parts and assisting in vendor sourcing for products and components.
• Responds to inquiries, resolves issues and concerns or escalates, as appropriate.
•Performs daily checks and associated paperwork to ensure that the forklift and pallet trucks are operated and maintained in good working condition.
•Performs other duties as assigned, in accordance with Branch and Department objectives.


•Successful completion of a Post-Secondary Certificate/Diploma (1 year or more) in Business Administration, or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Minimum two (2) year’s work related experience in a computerized inventory control environment, shipping and receiving industry.
•Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license free of serious offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
•Valid Forklift Operator license.
•Demonstrated knowledge of a computerized parts warehouse functions and associated inventory control procedures.
•Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including communication, innovation, teamwork and collaboration, and personal ownership.
