Working in a dynamic, collaborative and cross-functional environment, the successful candidates will be responsible for the ongoing supervision and maintenance of assigned facilities including building cleanliness and upkeep. Facility Monitors ensure the smooth operation of all functions, having regard for public safety and providing superior customer service at all times. You will be responsible for the opening and closing of the facility while ensuring that all set up requirements are completed. Duties include simple building repairs (changing lightbulbs, cleaning windows), mopping/sweeping floors, minor painting, washroom cleaning, and set up/take down of tables and chairs.
The Facility Monitor position is part-time, however there is not a guarantee of minimum hours per week, and the maximum number of weekly hours is 24 hours per week. Facility Monitors work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
This position will remain open until filled.
We are seeking a driven self-starter who thrives in an environment of innovation, cross-functional collaboration and someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to our corporation and community. Your secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent, and First Aid/CPR certificate is complemented by WHMIS, and Smart Serve training is an asset. With one to two years of facility operations experience in a general customer service capacity, you are mature and comfortable working independently/alone, and have strong interpersonal, communication, and public relations skills. Flexible availability to work late evenings, weekends, days, afternoons or special events, you also have a valid Class G driver’s licence, and personal transportation.
