To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a Registered Nurse to support our Emergency Department at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Mount Sinai Emergency Department is committed to providing family centered emergency care to the community. The department receives approximately 61,000 visits annually. The care delivery system is based upon a modified Primary Nursing model. Medical directives have been developed to promote and support autonomous nursing practice within the emergency specialty. Orientation of new nurses is a nursing priority and has been customized to meet individual nursing needs.
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 1-2 years experience in Medical/Surgical or Adult Critical Care nursing
- Current BCLS
- BScN (preferred)
- Current ACLS (preferred)
- Recent Emergency Department or Medical/Surgical Step-Down Unit experience (preferred)
- Commitment to professional practice and personal development
- Commitment to shared leadership and team based decision making
- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
- Superior interpersonal, communication and public relations skills
- Commitment to patient and family centred care
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
