This is a temporary/contract position for 12 months, working 35 hours per week.

Preferred Background:
The successful candidate will possess a degree in an IT related field along with IT software development experience in internet and thorough knowledge of System Development Life Cycle are required.  The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with good analytical and problem solving skills and is able to work effectively as part of a team.  Ability to develop technical documentation using Microsoft Office products such as Word and VISIO is required, along with effective oral and written communication skills.


Technical knowledge and skills required:

·         Microsoft ASP .net or MVC.

·         Javscript, JQuery, HTML5 and CSS3.

·         SQL query and stored procedures for Microsoft SQL Server.

·         Knowledge of responsive web design is an asset.

·         Knowledge of Sharepoint, and form development process.

·         Knowledge of building web services for system integration.



·         Participates in software development projects including programming, testing, troubleshooting, documenting the software application.

·         Helps software upgrade projects in Sharepoint.

·         Builds and configures simple applications and web services, and develops forms using Halton software tools.

·         Develops web pages using .Net, javascript, jquery and CSS.

·         Maintains and supports existing applications.

·         Provides administrative support to ensure project information is up-to-date.

·         Assists in trouble-shooting of IT service tickets.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.
