Summary
Note: This is a full-time temporary Administrative position until January 31, 2020 (37.5 hours per week).

The Recruiter provides support to Employment Services with the recruitment and selection process, assisting with departmental tasks as necessary.

Recruitment and Selection
- Assists with the recruitment and selection process, including leading recruitments as assigned, ensuring compliance with collective agreements, College policies, and applicable legislation
- Assists managers in developing appropriate interview questions
- Reviews applications for required criteria
- Assists managers with pre-screening candidates to verify qualifications as required
- Contacts unsuccessful candidates in a confidential, timely and sensitive manner to provide feedback as necessary
- Ensures all documentation, conditions of employment, and credentials are verified before completion of hire letters

Department Support
- Assists Employment Services department with calendar, appointments and administrative work as required
- Coordination of outsourced references
- Coordinates receipt of credentials (including equivalency checks)
 
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in HR Management or Administrative with an emphasis on HR management
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
- Experience with recruitment in a unionized environment preferred
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking software
