Monday to Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
 
Summary
Note: This is a regular part-time position (up to 24 hours per week). This competition is open to external applicants and all employees of Fanshawe College; however, applications from Regular Part-time (RPT) members of the Part-time Support Staff bargaining unit will be given first consideration.

Note: This position will support operations both at the Norton Wolf School of Aviation Technology (1000 Air Ontario Drive - London Airport) also at the Oxford campus at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd.

Duties: Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbent provides customer service, secretarial and clerical support in the day-to-day administrative operations of the Faculty of Science, Trades and Technology. The incumbent responds to student/customer inquiries as the first point of contact for customers entering the office for this Faculty.

Duties will include:
- Front-line reception
- Managing appointments and room scheduling
- General clerical responsibilities and data entry
- Proficient with MS Office- Excel/Word/Outlook
 
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary 1 year certificate/diploma - preference will be given to candidates with certificate/diploma in Office Administration or similar field
- Minimum 1 year experience gained as a front-line person in a customer service oriented environment
- Experience using a wide variety of software packages including MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and email
- Some familiarity with Fanshawe College’s student information systems an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
