The Project Engagement Manager is a collaborative leader who oversees the administrative, operational project and resource management for business development projects within Corporate Training Services (CTS). They are responsible for managing all the operational processes and procedures within CTS including but not limited to: student registration, exam administration; contract training project and resource management; website and ICE management; IT project management; RFP response and procurement; online payment gateway and Banner integration. The incumbent is responsible, on an ongoing basis, to ensure that operational and resource supports are aligned to optimally assist with the achievement of CTS business goals; with a particular focus upon continuous improvements in relation to business development and sustainability while increasing the student/client experience.
The incumbent directly manages four (4) staff and has responsibility for hiring, managing, motivating and evaluating these employees. The incumbent also recruits and manages contracted staff on a project-by-project basis.
The Project Engagement Manager is a key member of the CTS leadership team reporting directly to the Director. In this capacity, the incumbent contributes to the development of strategies, and is responsible to ensure that all operational supports and business development strategies are optimally aligned to support the achievement of these plans. In addition, the incumbent contributes to the management of the operating budget and is responsible for meeting departmental expense targets.
The successful candidate will hold a three year diploma or degree in business administration. A PMP certification in project management would be beneficial. In addition, the incumbent will have minimum of five years’ experience in an operations management role (office management is preferred), with experience as a people manager. Expert level skills in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint, and experience with Apple Keynote would be considered an asset. The incumbent will have extremely strong skills in leadership, conflict resolution, teamwork, sales customer service, organizational change management, budget management and project management. Experience using Project Management software would be considered as asset.
