Job Description

 

We are seeking individuals who understand that the work we provide is short term.  Incumbents may work up to a maximum of 24 hours per week dependent on the needs of the department.  Part-time recruitment is ongoing and placement is subject to types of job requests we receive. 

 

Possible assignments include:

  • Multimedia Developers (Filming, Editing, Motion Graphics Development)

 

Qualifications

 

We require flexible people that understand that working ‘casual’ is an excellent way to gain experience working with Corporate Training Services at Durham College. We are looking for individuals that are knowledgeable, professional, enthusiastic, and are able to pick up new skills quickly, and are ready for a challenge.

 

Multimedia Developer applicants must be proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, and Illustrator) and have experience using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.

 

  • One to two years of related work experience.
  • Two or three year college diploma in a related field (Multimedia Developer)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for self-directed learning and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and ability to work and learn proactively, creatively, and independently.
  • Strong public service orientation, excellent communication skills and evidence of effective teamwork are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently and carry out projects of varying complexity for extended periods of time.
