If you love local history and enjoy speaking with people, Morningstar Mill is looking out for volunteers interested in giving tours of the Miller’s house, the Mill, or both.
Morningstar Mill is a rural heritage site owned by the City of St. Catharines and operated in partnership with the Friends of Morningstar Mill. The site features a working grist mill rebuilt in 1872, and the historic home of the Morningstar family.
Reporting to the Historical Services Co-ordinator, tour guides will be responsible for providing visitors with a welcoming, enjoyable and informative experience. Training will be provided.
Commitment length: 5 hours/month from May – October
Days/Times: Saturdays or Sundays from 10 am – 12:30 pm or 12:30 – 3pm.
Other: The Mill is located at 2714 Decew Road. Please note there is no public transportation to the site.
