The City of Port Colborne is seeking an energetic and motivated professional with superior leadership, communication, analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills who works well in a fast-paced environment and can help drive the corporation forward in accomplishing the goals and strategic direction set by Council.
You will be responsible for the administration and management of the corporate human resource function including labour relations, recruitment, performance management, job evaluation, corporate training, compensation, payroll, pension and benefits. You will provide guidance and advice to our leaders, employees, Council ensuring employment, and legislative compliance.
You are a human resource professional preferably in a municipality with five years of progressive experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft programs and HRIS systems. You have a degree in Human Resource Management and/or related education and working knowledge of current applicable legislation. CHRP designation is an asset.
Salary range: $65,827 - $74,107 ($36.17 - $40.72 per hour) plus a competitive benefits and pension package.
