(This position is initially open to full time, bargaining unit employees of the college.)
Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Manager of Athletics and Recreation, the Coordinator is responsible for the safe and professional operations of the Morningside Fitness Centre, which includes a strength & conditioning studio, and fitness space. The successful incumbent will plan, promote and evaluate a broad based active recreation program that includes intramural, instructional, recreational, and extramural activities for both students and staff. Activities include hiring, training and assigning work to work-study students, games officials and sports convenors; orienting and training campus recreation staff, overseeing staff schedules, rental bookings, registration etc. This role will have annual budget accountability to promote and ensure the health and safety of the facility.
