As a key member of our COVID-19 interdisciplinary team, the Registered Practical Nurse responsibilities include, but are not limited to; respiratory assessment and vital signs for patients of all ages, specimen collection, patient education, and collaboration with the clinical team. The RPN will demonstrate a proven ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team.
This is a full-time position to work shifts including days and evenings, as well as weekends and holidays.
The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of a recognized School of Nursing
- RPN Diploma or equivalent required
- Current BCLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in medical/surgical nursing required
- Excellent assessment skills required
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of patient populations
- Working knowledge of routine practices related to Infection Control required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
