Reporting to the Project Manager, is responsible for reviewing Water and Wastewater designs; assisting with the preparation of contract drawings, tender documents, specifications and estimates; and assisting with project management for Water and Wastewater construction projects.
•Successful completion of a three year Community College Diploma Program in Civil Engineering Technology.
•Minimum three (3) years experience in municipal and water and wastewater design and drafting.
•Knowledge of fundamental aspects of water and wastewater design, surveying and survey applications.
•Valid Ontario Class “G” drivers’ license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
•Familiarity with relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
•Thorough knowledge of theory, principles and practices of planning, design and construction and Ministry water and wastewater policies and procedures.
•Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self management and accountability, and flexibility/adaptability.
•Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications, as well as significant demonstrated experience with the application of specialized software relevant to the technical specialty i.e. AUTOCAD, etc.
•Ability to work outside regular business hours as required.
