Up to 6 hours per week. Hours may be on nights or weekends.  
Summary
Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting September 5, 2018 and ending December 22, 2018.

Fanshawe College’s School of Applied Science and Technology is seeking qualified faculty to assist students in completing projects for manufacturing programs.
 
Qualifications:
GENERAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years or more of related industry experience
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies
- Leadership and teaching experience with a demonstrated commitment to student success
- Communication and interpersonal skills along with a demonstrated ability to work in a team

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Certified general machinist or tool and die maker
- Extensive working knowledge of standard manual machining equipment as it applies to a manufacturing environment
- Extensive experience maintaining a safe work environment
- Experience on CNC Vertical Machining Center/Turning Center machine an asset
- Experience writing and editing CNC programs using ISO, G and M code programming an asset
- Advanced Mastercam skills (Machining Center and Turning Center) in both geometry and tool path creation (2-D & 3-D) along with multi-axis programming an asset
- Working knowledge of Solidworks is an asset

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Certified Journeyperson
- Certificate of apprenticeship in general machining and/or tool and die making
