Teaching will occur during business hours and requires the candidate to have flexible work schedules.
 
Summary
Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting September 4, 2018 and ending December 22, 2018.

Fanshawe College’s School of Applied Science and Technology is seeking qualified faculty to teach a course in the business relevant to the electronics industry.
 
Qualifications:
GENERAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years or more of related industry management experience
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies
- Leadership and teaching experience with a demonstrated commitment to student success
- Communication and interpersonal skills along with a demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Knowledge of curriculum design principals, course development and student evaluation
- Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
- Experience with Applied Research projects an asset

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must have demonstrated expertise in:
- Developing business plans, integrating marketing and entrepreneurship strategies within a global economy
- Utilizing risk management tools related to importing, exporting, taxation, product liability and intellectual property and competition. Must be knowledgeable with respect to best practices for the successful and legal exchange of goods and services across borders, including export support services and programs available to many Canadian companies
- Preparing electronic engineering reports using effective communication strategies
- Planning, implementing, and managing electronic and embedded systems projects in response to stakeholder and industry needs and requirements

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Electronics or Electrical Engineering Degree or Advanced Diploma required
- P. Eng qualifications an asset
