Summary
Note: This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Business Development the incumbent is accountable for identifying, developing, marketing, staffing and evaluating academic consultancy, learning services and solutions opportunities offered by Fanshawe International Corporation (FIC). The Manager provides the leadership to staff responsible for planning, development, delivery and ongoing review of international market-based learning services. The Manager is responsible for initiating and supporting new business ventures including strategic alliances and partnerships to position the college as a leading provider of learning services to customers.

The Manager is accountable for the administration of international partnerships and projects as well as coordinating the work of project staff. Acting as the key contact for FIC, duties include, but are not limited to the following:

- Responsible for contract delivery of international projects delivered both in country and domestically (e.g. CiCan, summer camps, etc).
- Ensure contract deliverables meet the needs of clients, fulfills the global strategy and are strategically positioned in the local and global community.
- Reviews, evaluates and enhances services within allocated resources.
- Liaise with Government agencies, Embassies, Consulates, Ministry representatives and International consultants
- Liaises with partners to establish annual allocations, business plans, work plans and budgets for ongoing contracts and special projects.
- Identifies and evaluates future trends and opportunities that may impact/benefit and support the overall business growth of the college in the international learning services marketplace.
- Monitors global marketing/promotional initiatives to ensure that they reflect the image and quality standards and to provide feedback/direction.
 
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in Business, Education or a related field
- Masters degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Minimum 7 years experience in a post-secondary educational environment with an excellent understanding of international education and project work
- Experience in an academic environment and a proven successful track record in leading and coordinating international projects and partnerships
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
- Facilitative leadership style with exceptional planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Operational management experience supported with teambuilding skills; demonstrated business development skills combined with a good understanding of new trends in global project development; excellent relationship building, networking and communication skills; experience in teaching and/or curriculum design is an asset supported with a good understanding of new modes of delivering education (e.g. e-learning)
- Ability to create new, innovative offerings and proposals for global partners
- Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
- Excellent computer and public relation skills
- Must be fluent (oral and written) in second language (Spanish preferred)
- Extensive understanding of the Ontario college system
- Intercultural competence skills
- Excellent research, data collection and data analysis skills (e,g. international markets)
- Exceptional, demonstrable international proposal writing and reporting skills
