Note: This is a full-time position (35 hours per week).

Duties: Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, and in conjunction with the Corporate Communications and Marketing teams, the Digital Content Strategist is responsible for driving organic traffic to Fanshawe’s digital properties, through the planning and development of SEO (search engine optimization), digital content and user experience strategies. The incumbent will conduct keyword research and write search-optimized content. This position is also responsible for conducting best practice research and developing performance metrics to report on the success of digital content strategies, using a variety of online and digital tools.
- Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in Digital Marketing or Communications; website design or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in website usability techniques and search engine optimization, including detailed keyword research, manual site audits and using SEO tracking and tools, such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Moz and Ahrefs
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
- Experience with a CMS such as Drupal or WordPress
- Google courses and/or certification would be an asset
