School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts
The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts is hiring a full time Professor in the field of Food Studies. This field includes culinary leadership, food tourism and food media A Professor is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students. The successful candidate will be teaching in classrooms, labs, and field settings including The Local Cafe and Restaurant and Centennial College Event Centre. He or she will participate in program and course development, course modifications, program advisory committees, program accreditation, applied research initiatives, community outreach and on-going future program needs. The successful candidate will participate in academic leadership in the coordination of courses and/or programs to ensure curriculum quality, relevance, and currency, contribute to a positive learning experience for students and facilitate effective communications amongst colleagues. The Professor plays an important role in the successful delivery of students’ academic programs, key student contact, industry expert and importantly, steward of high academic quality.
